"And the time came when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."
~Anaïs Nin
Feeling hopeless? Stuck?
Frustrated? Overwhelmed?

If so, please know that you are not alone. And that it doesn't have to be this hard forever.
Every day, people experience how the support of a therapy relationship can help resolve the issues they are struggling with in a constructive, healing and timely manner.

Whether you are trying to cope with anxiety, feelings of depression, frustrations with work or relationships, or issues specific to parenthood, there is a way through.

Together we can help you listen to your instincts, find your own voice, and create the changes you desire in your life.

As a licensed clinical psychologist, I will use my skills and expertise--combined with personal experience as a woman, spouse, mother and becoming single in mid-life--to help you examine, and change, the situation with which you are struggling.

You may have found a way to tolerate your situation - or others may think you should! Yet, I believe that it is at these challenging life junctures that you are really most ready for change, unnerving though it may seem, because continuing to do more of the same is no longer working for you.

This idea is beautifully expressed in the quote from Anais Nin: "And the time came when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."

I believe a good fit and connection between client and therapist is crucial to the success of therapy. Therefore, I waive my fee for an initial 25 minute in person or phone consultation in which we can briefly discuss how I work, what you want to work on and how we might work together to get you from where you are to where you want to be.

Meet Your Therapist

Meet Henry!

"Our therapy assistant"

Henry is our "un-official"therapy dog! Many of my patients enjoy having Henry in the room next them. They find his presence soothing while talking about difficult subjects. If for any reason you do not prefer to have Henry in the room, please let me know.

Parenting....Regardless of what stage of it you're in - expecting your first, nurturing one or more as you await another, parenting through the various ages and stages - it can be one of the most exhilarating and joyous experiences you'll ever know. Yet it can also be without a doubt, one of the most demanding and overwhelming - both physically and emotionally.
Whether  brought about by work, a relationship with your significant other or child, another family member or your boss--your feelings are real, and you are not alone. You may be able to muddle through on your own but many people find that a little help from therapy can go a long way.
