For Women
You aren't alone and it doesn't have to always feel this hard
Whether  brought about by work, a relationship with your significant other or child, another family member or your boss--your feelings are real, and you are not alone. You may be able to muddle through on your own but many people find that a little help from therapy can go a long way.
Some people think that therapy is only for people in the midst of a total life crisis --and it is truly an invaluable help at those times. However I believe that if one engages in therapy during times that are "merely" (or so it may seem to others) stressful, confusing, scary or frustrating, we may be able to avert a full-blown crisis and move to a place of greater inner strength and fulfillment.
So many women struggle with body image, sexuality, emotional eating, weight loss and health improvement.
But if you aren't understanding and dealing with your underlying feelings about food, body image, even possibly your sexuality, and also finding healthy ways of coping with these feelings and beliefs, those efforts are less likely to create permanent change and a happier you.

Many are able to lose weight or launch an ambitious exercise program. But if you aren't dealing with the root problems that underlie the stuck place, those attempts are unlikely to remain permanent. Together we can explore and heal the old beliefs, shame, fears, trauma and inhibitions that are keeping you from being your most healthy, vibrant, sexy self!

I work with many women who are single, married, either never married or divorced, to help them find healthy, sustainable relationships. The baggage and fears women have from their previous relationships, confusion about how to maintain a good relationship as well as their lack of self-love, have often led them to have frustrating, painful relationship experiences. Having myself gone through divorce at age 43 and learning how to date again for the first time since college, I understand well the intricacies and pitfalls of dating in today's world as well as how to maintain an intimate, heart-connected relationship! When we explore what is happening in your current relationship or the ways you go about the dating process, the patterns of previous relationship,  we can help you find the relationship - with both yourself and a romantic partner - that is healthy and fulfilling.

I know how important it is to feel like there is a good fit between you and your therapist. Therefore, I waive my fee for an initial 25 minute consultation in which we can meet to briefly discuss how I work, what you want to work on, and how we might work together to get you from where you are to where you want to be. I also offer FaceTime and Skype sessions.  If you feel inspired, please contact me. Dating After Divorce
by Laura Goldner
…how people go about the dating after divorce process has everything to do with whether they enjoy it and how successful they are.
At the age of 44, I found myself once again single after a divorce and ready to start dating. The problem was, I hadn’t dated since George H. W. Bush (the elder) was in office and college provided all the men I needed to choose from... read full article here.
